Rats! Wuxi's in the news again... |
 Well, it appears that the fake meat people are at it again. What was it last time? Cats for duck? Or was it dog instead of lamb.... wait, wasn't it cardboard instead of meat filling?
Ah, I forget.
The latest clean up involves some 904 people and 20,000 tonnes of meat - rat meat - manufactured to look (and taste?) like beef; some of it right here in Wuxi.
My suggestion - just make sure you buy meat in pieces larger than those usually taken off a rat.

Wuxi Beer Olympics |
 
Toxic Chemelion and Absolute Events, with the Red lion
and Fortune Ancient Grand Canal are teaming up to host Wuxi’s First Beer
Olympics.
Teams of six (mixed gender) participate in various games and
competitions, most of which involve drinking beer throughout the evening with
the hope of winning the grand prize and the title of Wuxi 2013 Beer Olympics
Champions!
1080 per Team: please try to register before the 25th of
May as we need at least 80 people to run the event, our target is 150.
180RMB single non-contender price
Tickets include all you can drink German Dark and Light
Beer, Soft Drinks, Red Bar BBQ and live foreign DJs. Venue is an open air
balcony on the top of a hotel.
